USDA has confirmed that there will be SNAP payments through May 28. Florida and Texas will be the 2 States that will take longer to deliver Food Stamps in the United States.
However, the SNAP maximum benefit amounts are not the same all over the USA. Since inflation is higher in U.S. territories like Guam and the Virgin Islands, or States like Alaska and Hawaii, they receive more money per month if eligible.
SNAP RECIPIENTS CAN GET UP TO $2,581
Although beneficiaries in the District of Columbia and the 48 contiguous States can only receive up to $1,751 if they are 8, Guam can pay up to $2,581 for the same number of people.
There is also a big difference between SNAP maximum amounts for 1 person. If you are 1 person in the 48 contiguous States you can receive up to $291. Eligible recipients in Guam can get up to $430.
A family of 2 can obtain a Food Stamp check worth $788. Families with 3 up to $1,129 and 4-member families up to $1,434. Getting up to $1,703 is possible if you are 5.
PAYDAY ELIGIBILITY IN GUAM
While some States use Eligibility Determination Group Numbers, others prefer to use Social Security Numbers. Guam uses the last digit of the SNAP recipient’s SSN.
For instance, if you get money on May 5, your Social Security ends in 5. Those SNAP beneficiaries whose SSN ends in 6 get money on May 6. As you may have guessed, May 7 will be your payday if your SSN ends in 7.
The SNAP paydays go like this through May 10, but it will only be for those whose SSN ends in 0. The State that sends more money than the rest of States and territories is Alaska.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is available as long as you remain eligible. Losing benefits is easy if your personal situation changes. Help someone get Food Stamps if they are in need, it is free to apply online and in person.
